DUNEDIN BOTANIC GARDEN - 150th ANNIVERSARY LISTER GARDEN DEVELOPMENT
This public plaza was designed to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Dunedin Botanic Garden - established in 1863, New Zealand’s first Botanic Garden.
The simple contemporary design purposely uses a very restrained plant and material palette to reflect the style of Julia Morison’s “Ouroborus – Wooorm”, to highlight the sculpture, create a public focal meeting point, and to provide visual and physical links between existing surfaces and facilities.
